Tears Were Shed

Posted by S.M. Carrière on February 21, 2013 at 9:30 AM

Last night, I clicked on a video link posted by one of my Kung Fu sisters on Facebook.  I then watched THIS.

Not even a minute in, I started sobbing hysterically and didn't stop until well after it was over.  As a child who was bullied fiercely who became an adult who was bullied fiercely (not to mention the two idiots in my current office), this very nearly killed me.  It genuinely was one of the most powerful expressions of the legacy bullies leave in their wake.

Seriously.  WATCH THIS.  And then share it everywhere you can.

Great.  I clicked the link to copy it here, and now I'm crying again.

In happier news, I got seven chapters edited yesterday!  Yay!  That's more than all of last week combined.  I'm now halfway through my manuscript and twenty chapters in.  I have a hundred odd pages left to edit.  Not really looking forward to that, but it must get done.

Also, today is the last day to vote for the next step in the 'Your Very Own Adventure Project' story.  A new section goes up tomorrow, so be sure to vote and share! Click HERE to read the latest and to place your vote.

I'm off to edit stuff now.  Have a great Thrusday!

Wow. That was so powerful. Well-written and amazingly illustrated. I grew up on the fringes--invisible enough to avoid major bullying, but able to watch the devastation. When I was five, a neighborhood bully came after my friends and I. He tripped and fell, and everyone said, "Let's sit on him!" The only spot left for me was his face, and when I sat my tiny bony self down, I inadvertently gave him a bloody nose. He ran away crying.

I think that is the best story I've ever heard!
