Well... it's my Friday.
Good morning, Readers!
The Summer Bird (Kobo edition) is now available for pre-order! Click HERE if you wish to pre-order the book for immediate delivery on Hallowe'en.
Today is the last day in the office I have this week. I wish I could say I have a full three days for rest. Alas, I cannot. This weekend is Can-Con 2013, and I shall be working all of it. Granted, this will be a labour of love, but I'm feeling extremely tired today. That doesn't bode well for this weekend.
Also, I'm really hungry this morning for some reason.
I'm actually ravenous. Steak! Someone bring me steak! I'm only half-joking.
Life continues on as usual, otherwise. Training is going well. It was nice to see two of my Kung Fu brothers from the Algonquin school visit us at the Carleton location. Naturally, I handed off the teaching to one of them. Mwah hah hah hah hah hah!
At the moment, I'm trying to figure how long it would take to read the first chapter of The Summer Bird to an audience. I have 25 minutes for a reading at Can-Con and I want to make sure I don't go over time.
In really good news, UPS will be delivering my books today. In a surprise move, I will have some copies of The Summer Bird available for sale super early at Can-Con and at Ottawa Geek Market. Mind you, everyone I know has entered one of the three competitions currently available for a free copy, so I'm not likely to make a sale. Still, they're nice to have!
In case you're wondering what these competitions are, there are listed below:
I will be spending tomorrow morning making sure I have everything necessary for Can-Con. I think we can set up in the morning. I'm hoping we're not supposed to be setting up tonight. Hm. I should check on that.
Yes, this is how thoroughly disorganised I am. Go me!
Alright, I just checked, and the first event of Friday is actually at 7:00pm. We can set up early evening and still be good. Phew! I can even sleep in on Friday!
By the by, for the eNewsletter competition, I really wish I could choose a winner based on the content of the emails sent. The Amazing Flatmate is in the lead with a very amusing, 'Imp! Render unto me a book!'
Now I'm done gabbering on. Have a great Thursday everyone and hopefully I'll see some of you over the weekend.
