Good morning, Readers!
I hope your weekend went well. Mine did not. I had a migraine all weekend, and I still have it now. It's particularly strong this time around, something I attribute to my back problems, and I am in a state of exceptionaly grumpy humourlessness.
In short, I am not amused.
That said, it is lovely otherwise. This morning was bitterly cold, with a biting wind. But my new snow boots had finally arrived on Friday (after a long, long saga of missed connections and mislabelling) and so I was toasty warm as I waited for the bus. Except for my cheeks, which are a little windburnt. I cannot complain, though. It is simply stunning outside. Snow fell quite heavily over the weekend, so everything is back to fresh white, and it was cold enough this morning to make the snow sparkle in the morning sun. It was breath-taking (almost literally - the cold hit my lungs hard).
I'm quite sad I had to take the bus (I put out the rubbish this morning without leaving myself enough time to both put out the rubbish and walk to work), but happy that only one bus did not show up (the last two times I took the bus, two buses did not meet their stop, and the third bus was far too late to get me to work on time). That meant I actually arrived on time. Yay!
I'll be walking home, however. I am really stoked about my new waterproof, good-to-minu-50-celcius boots. Let's hope they last longer than all the other winter boots I've ever owned.
Today is a weird day. It seems that my computer has been infected with some adware, making my website a minefield of banner ads and text-enhanced ads. I will be editing today for friends, but I will also be trying to get rid of the ridiculous adware. It's incredibly annoying!
I'm quite looking forward to this week, mostly because it is the last week I will be working until the New Year. I'm super stoked about that. Friday will be a celebration, let me tell you. It's funny, I have a relatively stress-free job for those on the outside looking in. But then, I'm also working with a pair of incompetent bullies who use me as both a whipping boy and scape goat. It can be incredibly stressful when I'm expected to be a nanny and attend to my other obligations.
That said, I'm employed at a job that lets me write and, with the exception of those two ninnies, I really like everyone here. So I'm actually very lucky and I'll stop complaining.
Right, this was really a non-post. It's a long-winded way of saying that I have nothing of note to report.
I hope you are all well, and I look forward to having news. In the meantime, to editing I go!
